Notes:
Each Embodied CO2 value represents the Global Warming Potential of the product's Cradle-to-Gate [A1-A3] manufacturing processes, including Raw Material Extraction, Processing and Production. Each value excludes the Global Warming Potential of the product's transport to the construction site, installation, use and disposal.
Similarly, each NRE value represents the Non-Renewable Primary Energy consumed during the product's Cradle-to-Gate [A1-A3] manufacturing processes. Measured in MJ (megajoules), each NRE value includes both primary energy and primary energy resources used as raw materials, but excludes the non-renewable energy consumred during the product's transport to the construction site, installation, use and disposal.
The CO2 and NRE values are typically published in the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) of each product. The methodologies used to calculate them may differ between different EPD program operators. In addition, changes to product manufacturing processes implemented after the EPD publication date may or may not be reflected in these values.
Therefore, the CO2 and NRE values shown here should be considered good-faith estimates useful for comparisons, but they are not precise values.
